What counts as a valid llms.txt here?
The file must load at /llms.txt with status 200, start with a # heading, and not be an HTML page. Some servers send their home page for missing files. We catch that.
Do I need llms.txt?
No search engine requires it. It is a proposed standard. It costs little to add and gives AI tools a clean summary of your site.
What does the check test?
Six things: llms.txt, AI crawler access in robots.txt, JSON-LD schema, sitemap.xml, a meta description, and text readable without JavaScript. The score runs from 0 to 100.
