Privacy policy
AI Ready Check shows whether AI assistants can read a website. Nichols Ventures in Missouri, USA, runs it.
What we collect
No cookies. No ads or trackers. No accounts. We do not sell or share personal data.
Analytics
We run our own simple counter. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics script. When a page loads, your browser sends the page path and the host name of the site that linked you, such as google.com. We do not get the full link. When you click a buy button or finish a form or check, your browser sends the action name. We store daily totals: views per page, visits per referring site, and counts per action. We do not store your IP address, a cookie, or any ID. Visits from known bots are dropped. To drop repeat actions, a one-way hash of your IP address, the action, and the date sits in the Cloudflare cache for 10 minutes. It is never stored with the totals.
When you run a check
The domain you type goes to our server. Our server fetches four public files from that domain: the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt. We return yes or no results, not page content.
We cache the result for that domain for 6 hours so repeat checks are fast. We also save the latest result for each checked domain in Cloudflare storage, so its badge and report page work. That record holds the domain, its score, the yes or no results, and the check date. It does not hold who asked. Report pages are public at /report/ plus the domain, and are marked noindex for search engines. To remove a domain's record, email us.
To stop abuse, our server counts requests per IP address or network range. The counter holds that key and a number, sits in the Cloudflare cache, and expires within 2 hours.
Deep report and monitoring (paid)
Lemon Squeezy runs checkout as the merchant of record. It collects your name, email, billing address, and card details under its own policy, and it may set its own cookies in checkout. We never see your card number. Lemon Squeezy tells us about order and subscription status. See the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.
When you run a deep report, your license key and domain go to our server. We check the key with Lemon Squeezy. We store a one-way hash of the key, the domain it covers, and your latest report for 180 days, so you can reopen it with your key. Our server fetches up to 25 public pages from your domain plus robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and up to 5 links from llms.txt. It returns facts about each page, not page content. We count runs per key and per IP address in the Cloudflare cache for a day or less to stop abuse.
When you set up weekly monitoring, we also store your email, your consent time, the license activation id, your order or customer id from the payment provider, and an unsubscribe token. Each week we re-run the report from our own server, keep the score and the list of fixes to compare with next week, and email you the result. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts this site. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. See the Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not keep our own request logs.
Email list
If you sign up for our email list, we store your email, the page you signed up on, your consent time, and a status (pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed) in Cloudflare storage. We first send one email with a confirmation link. We email you again only after you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once. We count signup attempts per IP address in the Cloudflare cache for up to two hours to stop abuse, and we do not store the IP address. We send email from [email protected]. We do not sell or share the list.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not collect their data on purpose.
